A big decision taken by RBI, Press Trust of India (PTI) has now released this and RBI is now withdrawing Rs 2000 note. Remember this was introduced after demonetisation in 2016.

RBI will now stop printing Rs 2000 notes, but these notes will continue to be in circulation. If you want to exchange these notes, you can go to your bank branch and exchange them for other legal tender. RBI has decided to stop printing Rs 500 notes, etc., and Rs 2000 notes. 2000 rupee notes will be withdrawn from circulation.

Be aware of what is called demonetisation. But according to finance ministry 2000 rupees notes are not very commonly used and not in large circulation, so the term or fund which is considered a clean tip can no longer be used, that's why it is not withdrawn now, but holders of 2000 rupees notes can deposit it in bank account as per kyc.


All this should be done by September 30 this year. And you can continue to use Rs 2000. Part of your transaction but it is only valid till 30th September so once again if you have 2000 rupee notes in your house or in your wallet you can go to your bank and exchange it to other denominations yes that's what you can do so what they are saying is 2003 notes you have Deposit in your bank as per your KYC or exchange for 500 or 100 rupee notes, but they are valid only till September 30. You can immediately go to your bank branch and exchange it.
